The 161 room hotel was created by joining the 100 year Old Morton and Duplicator National Historic landmark building with a new seven story structure. The renovation was completed in 1986 with the new structure completed in 1988. The 18 million dollar renovated produced an understated elegance and sophistication in this intimate property.

From all major highways into Chicago - Take all Interstate Highways toward downtown Chicago. Take exit marked *Congress Parkway/Chicago Loop*. Take Congress under the post office and the Midwest Stock Exchange to Clark Street. Turn right onto Clark. Take Clark Street 1 block to Harrison. Turn left onto Harrison. Take Harrison to Dearborn. Turn left onto Dearborn. The hotel is on the left hand side of Dearborn between Harrison and Congress. To valet park, pull up to the front of the hotel.
Located downtown at the Intersection of Congress Parkway and Dearborn Street, 2 blocks west of State Street, at the South end of the loop and the north boundary of Printer's Row. The hotel is within walking distance to the city's Premiere Forums for the Arts. The Blake Hotel is situated in an architecturally rich area and is easily accessible to and from all of Chicago's major expressways. According to a survey conducted by the Chicago police, Burnham Park area is on e of the safest in the city.
