Property Description
The 161-room hotel was created by joining the 100 year old Morton and Duplicator national historic landmark building with a new 7-story structure. The renovation was completed in 1986 with the new structure completed in 1988. The 18 million dollar renovation produced an understanding elegance and sophistication in this intimate property. Located downtown at the intersection of Congress Parkway and Dearborn Street 2 blocks west of State Street at the south end of the loop and the north boundary of Printers Row. The hotel is within walking distance to the city's premiere forums for the arts. The Blake Hotel is situated in an architecturally rich area and is easily accessible to and from all of Chicago's major expressways. According to a survey conducted by the Chicago Police, Burnham Park area is one of the safest in the city.
