The Puppet Place offers an array of puppet shows, residencies, and workshops adaptable to any age group. Located in Chicago, Illinois, For 30 years. The Puppet Place has been dedicated to bringing this very special style of theater to adult and children's audiences alike. Also, for the last 22 years The Puppet Place has been both performance and residency artists for Urban Gateways, the premier Arts in Education agency in the United States.

The Puppet Place has experienced every variety of performing situation, including television, classrooms, libraries, shopping centers and neighborhood festivals, as well as being featured performers at Ravinia Festival, Taste of Chicago, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Each show lasts approximately 45 minutes. After the performance, the puppeteer will be happy to show the "behind the scenes" workings of the puppet theater and answer any questions.

The Puppet Place offers workshops that teach puppet design and construction. Simple shadow and hand puppets can be taught in single sessions. The more complex rod and marionette puppets require several sessions. Each session generally lasts from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the ability level of participants and the complexity of the puppet. These workshops are very popular with park district programs, preschools, elementary schools, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and day care centers.

The Puppet Place offers Artist-in-Residence programs to bring performance art to schools. These programs can be customized to suit the developmental needs 
and interests of students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
