WeGo Exploring
To help encourage the WeGo community to get out and “explore what’s great outdoors in West Chicago,” the partnership of the City of West Chicago, Healthy West Chicago, the West Chicago Park District, and the West Chicago City Museum have put together the WeGo Exploring community initiative.
The WeGo Exploring community initiative aims to promote the importance of being active outdoors for physical and mental health while also highlighting the many places to go and things to do outdoors within the community.

3W Golf Classic
Wednesday June 14, 2023Like to golf? Join the West Chicago Park District, the Western DuPage Chamber of Commerce, and the Warrenville Park District for the 3W Golf Classic on June 14. Visit for an exciting day of networking, great food, trophies, and fun!

Family Fishing Derby
Saturday, June 17, 8:00-11:30am
$10R / $12NR Dads are FREE!
Start Father’s Day weekend off by bringing the family out to Cornerstone Lakes Park to do a little fishing. Enjoy a light breakfast by the pond and try to catch the ‘big one.’ Each participant receives a goodie bag, and trophies are awarded to participants in each age category!
Dads are free but must be registered!

Park Passport
July 15 thru August 25
$16 per person
Get active in our parks! In celebration of Unplug Illinois Day, walk 1 mile in select West Chicago parks and complete fun activities! This 6-week-long event will inspire play, creativity, friendship and adventure for the whole family! A park passport is included, and t-shirts are available starting July 15.
Register by June 30th.
